EKC Summer Mehaber
July 10th, 2010
at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds
5 years running, this event has brought over 1,000 people from 17 states and 3 countries each year, to celebrate Ethiopian adoption, culture and connection. Mehaber means “gathering of friends and family” in Amharic, the official language of Ethiopia. The Summer Mehaber provides cultural programming for kids, workshops for parents on topics such as: cooking Ethiopian food, racism, and giving back. Each year we do a major fundraiser to support a development project in Ethiopia. Last year we gave CHSFS over $2.5K for a playground and sporting equiptment at a school in Hossana, Ethiopia.

Do you own a business that serves the Ethiopian or Adoption community?
Come be a vendor at our Summer Mehaber.
Stacy Bellward, our Mehaber Co-Chair, is now accepting Vendors for the 2010 Mehaber. This is a great opportunity for businesses that serve Ethiopian kids and families. It is also a great place for adoption agencies and non-profits serving the adoptive community to come and promote their business.
